Well, following up from my recent “Hello Boys” post, the release of the calendar is imminent!

I can reveal that the calendar features members of The Guildford Rugby Club, to raise money for their clubhouse redevelopment. It will be available very soon!

Girls - there will be more!

So I was asked for the second time in my career if I would photograph a calendar full of half-naked men. I spent days pondering the decision…oh sod it – it was a yes straight off!

And no, not just because I fancied looking at a bunch of half-naked men (well..) but it also represents a different sort of job for me. I can get as creative as I want with a bunch of half-naked men! I can study the male form photographically with a bunch of oiled half-naked men!

You get my drift – THIS IS FUN!!

All I can say right now is that yes, it’s men and its to raise money…the rest is a watch this space kind of thing, but you should be able to buy it in November.

You may ask why I am not giving away too much, or indeed why I am writing this blog now instead of when the calendar is released…well, it’s simple, tomorrow is my second session with the lads and there will be mud….I can’t stop being creative about a bunch of half-naked men!

So you may have noticed a windy, desolated sound on my blog page…it was a summer of work – and GREAT work too!

Last minute weddings, wet weddings, sunny weddings, weddings in Portugal – weddings weddings weddings! I LOVE IT!!

They are one of my favourite photographic commissions and they are planned and executed with care, creativity and FUN!

I’ve recently updated my web site with a new gallery containing lots of this summer’s couples and I’m also taking bookings for next year.

My first venture into corporate exhibiting was on May 18th at Guildford Means Business, hosted by the Webster Partnership. I showcased my corporate work primarily, although I had a couple of albums on hand to show off the social photography too.

My strategy? Exhibit ME! It’s my name above the door so to speak, so I guess that’s my USP. My stand was a photo booth and in addition to meeting people and talking about my work I took head shots and photographed the exhibition itself. The flashes were going off continuously on the stand and around the exhibit – you can view the photos by clicking here.

So…you could say I was busy…UNDERSTATEMENT!!

I had two fantastic assistants (featured above) on the day, Holly Gordon of HG Coaching and Ade Oduyemi of Maximum Inheritance Specialists. What a compliment – they are my clients and volunteered to big me up!

I offered a prize draw of a corporate photo shoot which was won by Gordon Hewett of CMB Soft. The draw was made by Julie Jenkinson, who manned the stand for the Surrey Air Ambulance. Julie is a good friend and colleague, and was also promoting the SAA’s upcoming events.

All in all I had a great experience, and I hope it pays off because I might like to do it again…
